Fayres, Festivals and Games

There are several Fayres and Festivals in the Strettons which are held periodically.  Dates and other details are shown in the events calendar as and when they become finalised. Some events listed below have permanent web pages with links highlighted below.

May 

Duck Race - Cardingmill Valley. A fundraising event for Stretton Climate Care

May Fayre - at Mayfair Community Centre.

Music Fest A one-day Musical Extravaganza showcasing local musical talent, at several venues around the town. The Music Fest website has full details. 

June 

Church Stretton Walking Festival: an annual event attracting visitors from far and wide with themed walks for all abilities, ages and abilities.

July 

Church Stretton Arts Festival. An extravaganza of Music, Drama, Pictures and Crafts over a period of 2 weeks at the start of the Summer Holidays.

August 

Church Stretton Arts Festival continues.

September 

Long Mynd Hike. A 24hr run/walk around most of the peaks of the South Shropshire Hills

November 

One of the biggest craft fayres in the County, held at Church Stretton School - has been running for over 25 years.

Bonfire and Fireworks Display in Rectory Field.

December 

Carols in the Square: A Christmas Eve event with mulled wine and barbecue accompanied by traditional and modern Christmas Carols and songs around the tree. (more information here)
